Olympia Area Local Shopping Guide
This year, as we head into the end of 2021 (um, what? Isn’t it still 2020?) I want to encourage anyone and everyone to find gifts from your little local shops and small businesses. It saves on our carbon footprint (no big ol delivery truck if you’re able to do local pickup!) it saves you some stress, (when you AVOID the lines at the big box stores on Black Friday!) and it’s money directly into your local economy (vs. money directly into jEfF bEzOs’ pocket….).
If you are in the Olympia area, there are LOTS of talented folks with extraordinary gifts to give to your loved ones. Find your friends and family some local, original, thoughtful gifts! Here are some of my favorites, if you are in need of suggestions:

There are shops in both downtown Olympia and up in Tacoma. These shops are full of super fun, cute, quality items, and I just love to take my time, and browse through it all! It’s also worth noting that the staff is extremely helpful if you’d rather do your shopping over the phone or internet, and will provide you with tons of options to best suit your needs!

It’s actually difficult to put into words how much I love this place. The menu is ever-changing, with a few constants that are a MUST TRY (hello?! Hot Chicken Sandwich!) The chef is super talented and kind, and you can even watch her on The Food Network’s Chopped Next Gen (***Spoiler alert… she WON!***) A gift card or a meal out to this restaurant would be a fabulous gift for just about anyone on your list!
Hash has so many tasty twists on your breakfast favorites, including several different mimosas… you will want to try them all! Take your loved one out for a brunch (indoor and covered outdoor seating available) or snag a gift card and a mug to let them enjoy the comforts of delicious food and hot coffee on their own time.
