Past Tuber Sale 2023

Well, it’s happening. I wasn’t sure if I’d get my dahlia tubers ( and my life) together in time,… but the date is set and the tubers are looking good!

Saturday, March 11: the email list will have first dibs beginning at 9:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time… Then at 10:00 am, I’ll open the sale up to the public. We have very limited numbers on most of our tubers, because we are a small farm and plan to stay small :) But I would love to get some of these tubers in the hands of other gardeners. There are never enough flowers in the world!

Growing dahlias for tubers hasn’t been our goal, necessarily. We always wanted to expand the U Pick to serve more of our community in the summer, but we have ended up with more tubers than we can handle! I want to spread the love.

When you check out our tubers, you’ll see a variety of our favorites.

Cafe Au Lait - she’s a show stopper, there’s no doubt. She deserves a spot in the garden to draw the “ooohs” and “aaahhs” from anyone who sees her. She doesn’t last quite as long in the vase as the other varieties, so that’s why she’s typically used in events (such as weddings) where she only has to look pristine for the big show.

Totally Tangerine - this is a fun little dahlia that always gets the question “what is this??” She doesn’t look like her other dahlia friends, being an anemone form dahlia, but she’s cute and fun and very prolific.

Silver Years - I think this is a must grow for any sort of wedding work. The soft white with the soft pink/lavender is perfect for mixing into bouquets, whether it’s with bright colors, muted tones, or other white flowers.

A La Mode - I love this dahlia! The dark red orange along the cream edges is just delightful!

Linda’s Baby - my favorite dahlia that I grow. She’s a workhorse in the garden, she’s perfect for weddings or for every day bouquets. She’s a favorite in our u pick and a favorite to share with friends! A must-grow.

Terracotta - this is such a fun dahlia! Spikey peach colored petals on long stems, I love to grow it!

Cartouche - This bright and bold purple dahlia is sturdy, prolific, and a fun addition to our U Pick

Tempest - This coral red decorative ball form is a fun one throughout the season. Some blooms are a deep red, some shift toward rust, some even have a magenta hue

Golden Scepter - This small yellow bloom is sure to be a favorite! The soft orange center petals against the honey-butter yellow just warm your soul.
